Oh dear! It has been way too long since I updated the site! Very sorry to everyone who lives far away and have been missing out. There has been a lot going on in our little house.
Firstly Asuka hasn't been too well for quite a while now. She has been suffering from reflux and recently teething. The nights have been very long indeed! Whoever made the quote "sleeping like a baby" should be shot. Or everyone should be made aware that babies don't sleep that well.
Asuka has not put on a lot of weight recently so we are waiting to hear back from the peadiatrition regarding the issue. We might have to start using formula as a supplememnt. I'm not 100% happy with that decision, but if that is the way we have to go, than so be it.
Dan and I have also set a wedding date! Our little girl will hopefully be walking and be our flowergirl. September 2009 is the month so far, will get back to you about the day.
Will have to continue this later, Asuka has decided that she wants my attention. Hope you are all well!

We bought a new video camera and have got a new video up! Also have added in the video's Nanny (Karen) uploaded. Enjoy my beautiful little girl. She's getting more and more active and awake. She's so adorable!
Also to note that she had her first 'smile' on the 6th of April. We were playing with her bear on the change table and she was smiling and gurgling. Very cute!

Asuka-Marie has been to a couple of Osteo appointments and I'm happy to say that she is doing A LOT better! I've just had a quick minute to update, but have to go finish making dinner.

Well it's been an interesting couple of weeks. I can't believe that only 3 weeks ago I was impatiently awaiting our little girl! You know it's true what they say about pregnant women wishing they were pregnant again after the baby comes. For me it's just the seep deprivation and my post-pregnant body. She really did steal all the beauty out of me. I'm literally scarred for life on this one. I have to admit though, pre-pregnancy I was 59kg and I weighed myself the other day and I was 65kg, and I still have a heap of fluid (I look like i'm 4 months pregnant!!!!!)
Still very tired, I think Asuka's a little unwell. She's not sleeping for long periods and vomiting more often than usual. I'll be getting my licence back tomorrow so I can take her to the DR's if it gets any worse. I don't think, at this stage, it's anything to be worried about.

Nanny and Poppy have been visiting for the last week and I think Little Asuka-Marie has been having a great time. We've been shopping around Adelaide Markets, travelling and seeing the beautiful Victor Harbour and visiting Asuka's Great-Great-Grandmother Haas.
Still a very tired Mummy and Daddy here, she's been having a lot of problems with passing gas. So far we've cut out some items from our diet to try and help her with her gas problem. They're helping a little, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Asuka's also staying awake for a bit longer during the day which is gorgeous to see. Her eyes are so blue at the moment but am hoping for them to stay that way, even though they probably won't. She's such an alert little girl, always looking around the place and trying to focus on our faces.
I'm a very proud Mummy!
Have added some photos that Nanny took while she was here. Will also have some photos with her Great-Great-Grandmother soon. Have added them in now!

Well I've been updating the website in between feeding and looking after our little princess. I've also added 'part' of the birth story. Haven't gotten up to the labour as yet though. So there is something to read at the moment.
Have to mention I'm so proud of Asuka! She has been attaching herself sometimes with the feeds. She's so adorable!
Steve flew out last night, it was sad to see him go. Thank you so much for your help! It was a pleasure to have you around!
If you haven't looked at the new pics there are some of Steve with little Asuka-Marie and also one of her projectile pooping on me! That was really funny. Cheeky monkey!
Well i'm off to get little Miss as she's due for a feed.

Hi Everyone,
We have all had a big adventure bringing our little angel into this world.
We've got some photos to share, but will have more after everything is settled down.
We're all still very tired!
The full story of how Asuka-Marie made it into this world will be added in soon. But for now you'll just have to wait.
Oh, by the way, Asuka is pronounced like Alaska or like desu ka in Japanese. (^_^)
